Mrs. Mazur's Class
Welcome to Kindergarten
We have been very busy this month of September. Check our photo page to see what we have been up to! We introduced our science tools that we will use this year to explore and learn about the world. We focused on our 5 senses and used our learning to explore apples! We had Mrs. Gibbons come to help teach us more about apples to help prepare us for our Field Trip to Blackberry Farm!
We have finished two letters this month, C and O. Please help review these letters, the sounds they make, and what items begin with these letters.
Please remember to turn in homework weekly either on Friday or the next Monday. Continue to read nightly and check our seesaw for further updates on our learning!
We Made it!
The first 3 days have been so much fun getting to know your child! Mrs. Loftus and I are so glad that each and everyone of them are in our Kindergarten class and here at St. Isidore!
Even in the first few days we were really busy, learning the new rules, finding our special classes, and working together to complete puzzles!
Please remember that everyday your child will need a snack and lunch (unless order lunch with our hot lunch). Please check the picture tabs for pictures of our first few days!
Enjoy your weekend!
I hope that everyone has had a great summer! We will be starting in just a few days and I cannot wait to meet all of the Kinders for this year!
We will begin our first day on Wednesday, August 23rd at 8:00. We will begin with a prayer and ringing our school bell then walking into class!
We do have early dismissal at 11:00am! We will dismiss outside of Ministry Center. Please do not forget a snack and your smiles!
We finished our animal unit with a zoo! Each child was asked to bring in a realistic stuffed animal to research about. We discussed how their animals survive with, how they adapt to their habitat to survive along with why they live in that habitat. As a class we figured out which animals live in the same habitat to research through videos, animal apps, and books of what we would find in each habitat. As our group we had to then create the habitat with household (school) items. Each group needed to have each animals home, food/water supply, and vegetation we would see in each habitat.
We all had so much fun with our habitats and allowing parents to come in a learn more about our animals!
